Sweet dreams hypnotize,
As I stir from sleep.
Warm light greets my eyes,
Diminishing a trance so deep.
Euphoric sensations develop,
As I enjoy the mental stroll.
Soft blankets envelop,
Cradling half a whole.
Precious memories etch,
As I let scenes rebuild.
Empty hands stretch,
Yearning to be filled.
Strewn pillows conceal,
As I blindly seek.
Nearby sighs reveal,
Dampening my cheek.
Joyful tears flow,
As I gaze into your eyes.
Sleepy smiles grow,
Appreciating the surprise.
Tender lips meet,
As we tighten evermore.
Loving hearts beat,
Becoming one forevermore.
There we sat
side by side
My arm around your waist
I lay my head
on your shoulders
Blushing at our loving embrace
All the while
hateful eyes glare
Whispering vulgarity
Forever trapped
between past and present
Never to be free

My first love was so beautiful
Her presence was paradise
With her my life felt full
I could get lost in those eyes
My first heartbreak is still aching
Her presence surges my pain
Without her I am nothing
I wish our love could remain

The Letter I Should Have Written
This secret that is mine
Is difficult to confine
I have told quite a few
But the one who should have known was you
I have been granted many opportunities
To put my restless heart at ease
But I just watched as those times passed
In fear our friendship would not last
Now I see I was mistaken
My honesty, you would have taken
Our bond may have still been finished
But at least your respect would not have diminished
I know it's too late to tell you my friend
But I have always loved you, from start to end
Please forgive my lack of courage
I never thought I would cause so much damage
If I could just relive our last night
I'd confess my love, despite

Strangely Familiar
Immediately upon entering the room, some unseen force pulls at your heartstrings as you search the area for the source
There stands a being with a veiled beauty that can only be perceived by the deepest levels of the soul
This somehow familiar presence awakens your every sense as you struggle to grasp the faintest hint of a memory
Like a song resounding in your mind to which you don't know the words
Only this relation is beyond understanding
Forever remaining a mystery

I'm just looking for a place to put my writing. I'm not really interested in critiques but comments are welcome. It is just nice to put your feelings out there sometimes.
